Hello, I'm Jessica Schlehuber.
What an incredible honor it is to be joining the staff here at Richmond Middle School. GO Blue Devils! For the 2019-2020 school year I am thrilled to be teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts. I am looking forward to an incredible year of learning new things and getting to know the students and families in my community. About ME: I am a proud wife and momma of 3! My family is my world. My husband Steve, and I have been married for 10 years! This is also my 10th year teaching, which is incredible! Prior to joining the wonderful Richmond team, I taught in Armada Area Schools and Van Dyke Public Schools. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English and Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership/Principalship from Saginaw Valley State University. In addition to my college education I have extensive training and taken numerous classes to expand my knowledge so I can meet the educational needs of all of my students. I enjoy learning and can't imagine myself doing anything else. I was born to be a teacher! When I am not in the classroom I am spending time with my family. Ben is 8, Gracie is 6, and Dylan is 3! This summer we enjoyed a long trip up north and explored the Upper Peninsula. Our favorite stop, was the Butterfly House on Mackinac Island. It was quite magical being surrounded by hundreds of butterflies. Needless to say, we cannot wait to go back! In my free time I love to workout, practice yoga, get involved with our church, read, and spend time on the beach. I am also a huge Detroit Lions fan! This fall, I am looking forward to watching my son play TAFL football. My daughter is also cheering, which is pretty exciting! Thank you for welcoming me to Richmond Community Schools. It is going to be a great year! |
